Yesterday, on Monday 2 October 2023, Air Mauritius resumed its direct operations to and from Genève Aéroport with two weekly flights using the Airbus A330-900neo aircraft in Business and Economy configuration with a capacity of 288 seats.
A symbolic ceremony in the presence of Mr André Schneider, CEO of Geneva Airport, Ms Sixtine Marot, Head of Sales and Marketing of Air Mauritius and Ambassador Usha Dwarka Canabady, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Mauritius, marked this arrival.
The arrival of Air Mauritius with two weekly rotations to Mauritius is the main new feature of the 2023-2024 winter season at Geneva Airport.
Between 2 October 2023 and 30 April 2024, Air Mauritius will be offering two flights a week to the Pearl of the Indian Ocean operated with the latest generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aircraft.
Mauritius, as a destination in the southern hemisphere, complements the direct intercontinental connections offered by Geneva airport and is in line with one of its stated strategies, namely to improve the services offered by its long-haul network.
