ICRC flight - Haiti
Following the destructive earthquake that struck Haiti, a plane chartered by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will leave Geneva International Airport today for Port-au-Prince.
The aircraft, an IL-76, will take off with 40 tons of medical supplies on board for the local population.
Another plane is expected to leave GVA during the day with a group of delegates to provide assistance to victims and to strengthen the ICRC team locally.
