French sector devoted to air freight

The airport in fact has a French sector devoted to air freight. A customs road links the airport to French territory (commune of Ferney-Voltaire, Ain).

The road enables the various users to send or receive goods quickly without going through border controls and while still remaining subject only to French/European procedures.

Users coming from the departments of Haute-Savoie, Savoie or Isère can take the A41 motorway (from Annecy, Chambéry or Grenoble) to reach the airport freight terminal.

Transit procedures on Swiss territory have been greatly simplified (documents T).

In addition, there is real competition between the many airlines operating from the airport, to the advantage of forwarders and shippers.

Regardless of the nature of your goods or their destination, you will certainly benefit from the following 5 advantages:

  • Speed of consignment and delvery of goods (average 70-90 minutes)
  • Competitive freight tariffs and extended offers
  • Secure and user-friendly environment (no goods going missing)
  • Reliability and punctuality (no strikes, commitments honoured)
  • Modern and complete equipment

The French sector of the airport is active every weekday from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 19:00 (to match customs office hours) and Saturday from 08:00 to 12:00 (closed on Sunday).
